The New 3DS C-stick is trash and we're all aware of it. What is the preferred replacement? I used to see specifically the PSP 1000 nubs by the company Insten recommended because they actually fit without scuffing up the screen but those no longer seem to be made.

I prefer ThinkPad TrackPoint caps over PSP ones (get actual Lenovo ones rather than cheaper knock-offs - the cheap ones I tried are too soft and the textured surface rubs off, creating red rubber dust : ( ). PSP caps have a rectangular slot that only grips two of the four sides of the C-stick module. So they can slide diagonally, causing the C-stick to register large inputs in 'neutral' until you remove and re-seat the cap. The TrackPoint caps have a square slot that fits properly over the square post. OTOH, like the original grey nub, the TrackPoint cap is made of rubber, so will deform slightly when you press it. Some people prefer the feeling of the stiff plastic PSP cap, where the only movement you get is the extremely small shift the strain gauges are actually measuring.
