Resident Evil Village demo's release window extended by a week

At their Resident Evil showcase last week, Capcom announced new demos for the upcoming Resident Evil Village, but in a controversially restrictive manner. The 60-minute demo would be split into two halves and released a week apart on Playstation consoles, but only being available for 24 hours and cutting off after 30 minutes of playtime. Then, on the third week, the full version would be released to all platforms, again only available for 24 hours. The move has not been well-received by fans who have been struggling to fit in time for the demo, and so Capcom has decided to extend the release window by a week. While the demo will still restrict players to 60 minutes, it will now be available until May 10, extending it a few days past Resident Evil Village's release on May 7.

trying not to swear......but they are _____ _______ _______ ______ for releasing that the way they did

im busy in that stupid small window the demo was on for and by the time i had the opportunity to sit down and load my ps4, its over

like.... are you trying to get people to boycott you or something? not that its the kind of thing i do often but its left a sour taste in my mouth that i couldn't get the game a try, im probably not gonna buy it on release or for a few months til i chill out.

seriously, "oh hey you have a life and can't play our demo at this stupidly small window? too bad! you aren't our demographic"

really geniuses? yeah lets only open our demo to people who have no routines or are willing to tell their significant other or friends off cuz they gotta go play a demo.....

HELL even if you didnt have anything to do at the time and was just watching an anime or falcon and the winter soldier, or whatever, and just thought "yeah i'll play it in an hour or 2" or u was waiting for the sun to go down so u can have the right atmosphere.....

YES let me just break my already pre-established routine for this.... morons....

Lol I downloaded it and just let it sit, I had no idea it was time-limited. Glad they're correcting that to some extent, but really the norm should be releasing permanent demos. Why the hell would you want to entice customers who are on the fence for just one week, instead of doing it for the entire life of the game?

I'm just glad they made this adjustment, though they should just get rid of the 60 minutes limit as well. It's already stupid they made the first two demos (village and castle, not talking about the maiden demo) to be specifically open for 8 hours, but also only allow players to play the demo for 30 minutes within those hours. Like wtf.

... Anecdotally, this Game is my introduction to the Futurama-inspired Death Meme.

I guess that is indicative of how well this Game will fare commercially and it's also an interesting Artistic direction for the Franchise; I'm sure the extra time allotted for the Demo will mostly end up as Meme Screenshots of the main female Antagonist.
