QUOTE said:Following last week’s high profile street date break of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, EB Games appear to be selling Capcom’s Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D ahead of it’s scheduled Friday launch.
The news comes from Vooks (again) who posted an image of a receipt showing that the game was indeed purchased at a Hobart store. We called a few stores in our areas (both in Melbourne and Sydney) and we received the same answer we got from the stores last week regarding Zelda – if you want the game, you’ll have to go in and ask a store employee.
We called the Hobart store…

Receipt Proof
One store manager we spoke to in a Melbourne based store (who preferred not to be named) revealed to us that the reason for all these breaks comes from the top – EB Games apparently had some kind of “understanding” with rival stores Gametraders to start selling the game on the 28th – the North American release date.
But EB Games decided to jump the gun on the competition. This would mean that Australia is the first place the game is available outside of Japan, with Europe not scheduled to release the title until July 1.
