Port the LÖVE game Order of Twilight! Should be fairly easy given there is a LÖVE port for 3DS.

LÖVE source code is on the creator's site - http://stabyourself.net/orderoftwilight/

Also, the game's graphics can be shrunk and fit in the 3DS's resolution - like so https://i.imgur.com/lqsXkLz.png (mockup)

Not a C compiler, but perhaps a lua or javascript interpreter with built in code editor. Good request, added to my list of ideas.

I already got everything setup, and I rather make the editor with C because I will reuse that code in other projects

No I'm also using duktape, that part is pretty much done all i need to do is the editor part

Have you implemented/piped the system libraries in duktape too? 3ds.js allows access to the low level functions of the 3DS (somewhat like LPP)

Yes, including hardware accelerated text rendering
