The audio was that way in the cartridge format, since ROMs are made out of them.
So, decent audio, not possible.

Rip the audio, increase volume, clean up noise... I think it's possible and rather easy if there are people who know how to rip, enhance and put the audio back.
But I'm not an audio expert to tell if this game's are beyond repair.

That's why I need someone experienced's opinion before giving up on an audible version of this game.

Oh, I see, sorry, didn't mean to make you repeat yourselves. I haven't tested the Japanese version, did you? I'd really like to know how the audio sounds there.

I have not, but it's kinda pointless, as the only thing of use would be sound effects and music, not the main concern here, since the voices are also low and there are no subtitles. If the voices can't be handled, then fixing the other stuff will even make things worse.
