When I enter Test Program > LCD&KEY, it gives a failure message (and sound!). Should I be worried?
Output message is:
[002/036] TIME:00:00:00
[50-001 FANG INIT]
MESSAGE:
SetActiveEvent Error
No. You just don't have the external hardware needed for that. It's normal

Anyway, I came to some conclusions:
- To perform some of the tests, you need a blank sd card
- To apply certain configurations, you need to run the complete sequence, which you cannot do because of missing sysmodules/external hardware

Interesting, the 3DS doesn't seem to have any ports that could be used to connect to external hardware. Maybe the test hardware was connected through the game card slot? That would be pretty awesome.

When I boot it up normally without holding anything I just get the wait screen rather than the test video in OP. Is this normal or is there a button or option I need to use to access it?

Edit: Nvm Found it. :P

@PabloMK7 I tried booting the N3DS-encrypted version on pastebin after installing it on my N3DS, but all I get is a black screen. Is the CIA in there supposed to work or do I have to convert the NCCH that's in there?

Maybe I put the wrong cia there... try converting the ncch for now.

It doesn't seem to like 9.2 systems (a9lh or otherwise). Only worked on my only 11.0 a9lh updated sysnand system.

It's not liking my 10.6 GW3D emuNAND, I'm going to try updating it.

Edit: No dice. On the latest GW emuNAND I still cannot get it booting.

Looks like the notification LED can actually turn white:

The MCU LED test causes all of the LEDs on the console to flash all of their different colours, like a rave. Interestingly enough, the demo photo for the LED test depicts an N3DS XL whereas previous demo pictures only show an O3DS.

I built the cia from the ncch, and installed it. So far, it leads to a black screen on my 11.0 emunand (using bbm and fbi 2.x), on sysnand, (while holding start) i launched it from the home menu just to see what would happen. The backlight turned off, something flashed i think (was looking away when i saw something change) then it went back to the home menu. Launching from bbm (basically the same thing as devmenu, right?) just has a black screen :/

I launched it from BBM and launching it from Home Menu works too. Try using the NTR Firmware.bin.
