Hardware Replacing parts

Hi Gbatemp! I was wondering if you guys could help me name/find parts. So I had two questions about a PSP 3000 fix up

The first part is the screen. There are quite a bit of scratches on the screen, and I would like to know what kind of part I would need to replace it. Would i replace the whole screen or just the plastic part?

Also for anyone that has actually fixed a PSP 3000, how difficult is it?

Is it just the outer plastic shell that's scratched, or are the scratches on the screen? If it's just the outer plastic (most often the case), that's part of the "faceplate".

I've never done a 3000, but most of the info about parts applies between models.

there are scratches both on the plate and screen, so I'd like to replace both, but I'm really really wanting to replace the screen

How the hell did you get scratches on the LCD? It is protected by the faceplate
