Flash carts are not region-locked. The "EU" one is not the same thing, it's from different people and doesn't have official Wood support.

I wouldn't buy the R4i Gold if you're worried about future updates, as they've already had to release multiple models to get past updates, with the older ones blocked (like the AK2i) and unable to update.

The Supercard DSTwo is the only cart that has been able to pass every DSi and 3DS update that's been put out without needing a new version.

Hi, you can buy a R4i 3DS card ( in Red box). It updates quickly after New update from Nintendo. Beside, it's cheaper, no more than 13 usd. You can search R4i SDHC 3DS Card for Nintendo for DSIXL in google.com, there is lots of sellers there. But, keep in mind, in Red Box.

I wouldn't, it's one of the usual carts that stops updating their old models after a time.

Yes, you'll be getting the new model now, but it'll be the old model after a few updates just like the others.

I am confused that since all cards will be changed into old model after Nintendo 3DS or Dsi comes out with new updates. So, what cards can be recommended. There is no cards that can be compatible forever before new updates.

From my point of view, the cards can be good enough if they can be compatible for the latest version of updates soon after Nintendo 3DS or Dsi updates. Can I understand in that way?

The supercard DStwo is the only flash card that has never needed a new hardware version to remain compatible after Nintendo updates the 3DS.A firmware update comes out for the card, you update it and the same card works.
All other cards have needed to change the hardware, so people using them have to buy a new one.

So, from history at least, the supercard DStwo is the most likely card to keep working after future 3DS updates, without you having to buy a new one.

No, all the recommended flash carts with DSi/3DS compatibility can run a software update to make them compatible with DSi and 3DS updates.

The R4i Gold for a cheap one, or the DSTwo, which has never needed a new model for DSi/3DS updates.

Just one or two updates isn't good enough, most R4 clones do a few updates and then make you buy a new cart.

The DSTwo hasn't done that though, it's lasted all the updates.

i haven't been keeping up with the ismart mm, but its just an OEM iplayer with a kernel supported by supercard. they claim it works on dsi 1.4.4/1.4.5 c, but i don't see any info about the 3ds on their download page. it seems they removed their forum as well, which might have provided more information about the card's future. their "Download firmwareV4_3DSfix.zip" doesn't contain a readme.
