Is there a list of games that you could replace Naruto with? I don't have that title. What specifically are we looking for that makes Naruto's partition 2 special?

Ok, Game is working.....

NTSC 3.2U WII
Wiinja v2

Ok, I can not get the USA Version to work, but I am playing the pal

1. Pal momment
2. Ran WIU 1.1 removed update 2a.clicked NTSC/USA. was told it was already patched..
3. Ran mkwii2.ppf

4 I think this is key, Burned with SONY DVD-R (white ones) @ 4X. with Imgburn. Honestly I think they work better that Verbatim's in Wii's

Works fine, no i did not add the wii channel yet. I am just glad this worked. I am still waiting on a fix for USA. For now I still can have a little fun

First post and shame on me. At least it's working now.

I've been reading this thread forever waiting for a solution. I've got a US Wii and Wiikey.

I've downloaded the WiiKey update (1.9s) and supposedly updated the chip then tried the Mario Kart Wii (untouched) disc. Got error #001.

Tried WiiKey Config discs (versions 1.4 and 1.9) with no luck, both discs were showing an error. For a moment, thought I had a clone of WiiKey instead of the original one. Decided to watch at YouTube an upgrade video and bingo. I wasn't passing the cycle test phase, thought the update was completed after that screen, so that's why MK Wii wasn't working.

I've decided to post this just because I've seen one or two people claiming that MK was not working with their original WiiKey.

Anyway, did the complete update and MK Wii is running perfectly. No update request on the first run and MK Channel installed.

Here it is the ppf patch for Mario Kart USA (NTSC)

Download ppf - mario kart usa -> http://www.divshare.com/download/4395046-9f7

Download ppf-o-matic -> http://www.sospc-en-ligne.com/downloads/pdx-pom3.zip

This is NOT for PAL... only works on NTSC Mario Kart
Yes, its works. Great. Thank you very much!

I found a very easy mode to play MK Wii NTSC in a fell steps.
You Will Need:
WIIScrubberv1.2
GenericWiiPatcher

Simply extract the main.dol from Partition 2 of the iso with WIIScrubberv1.2
open the main.dol with GenericWiiPatcher Search on Error01-fix then Remove001
NOW DONT FORGET TO SAVE ON GenericWiiPatcher.
Replace the Modified main.dol on partition 2 with WIIScrubberv1.2 and Burn the ISO.
That's it.

Working Perfectly on a NTSC Wii 3.1 with Wiikey 1.2.

Found a way to install the MKWII NTSC Channel and working just fine:

To install Mario Kart Chanell NTSC Simply
extract the main.dol from PARTITION 3 of the iso with WIIScrubberv1.2
open the main.dol with GenericWiiPatcher Search on Error01-fix then Remove001
NOW DONT FORGET TO SAVE ON GenericWiiPatcher.
Replace the Modified main.dol on PARTITION 3 with WIIScrubberv1.2 and Burn the ISO
with ImgBurn.

Working Perfectly on a NTSC Wii 3.1 with Wiikey 1.2.

SIM, TA CERTO

Yes is right, this game have two main dols that produces error 001
Cause of this, if you only patch the second partition only, the game load and go to black screen, or error 001 remais
Then the real solution, and the only way to you have the mario kart channel is patching the 2 main dols

And the same is needed to load WII FIT, means in my case that have a usa ntsc wii , i have patched the menu loadin the text files from pal version in a jap version to have fool color in Brazil

just tested the Jinva method (with the un-scrubbed iso), didn't work on a US console (3.1U) with WiiD modhip (can run Super Mario Galaxy), i put the disc, then a black screen says "Disc read error, remove disc and turn off console and read the manual and blah blah blah" never had that error before

i dont' have wi-fi access to update, i don't have more blank DVD to try others methods for today, i'll try to burn the clean iso when i can

I'm able to play and add a Mario Kart Channel on my Wii-Jpn 3.1j Wiikey 1.9g.

I did the following steps, which I believe are the same as most the guys around.

1) Patch the unscrubbed ISO with JinVa's ppf 2.
2) Apply the Wii Update Remover
3) Use Wii Region Free (WiiFrii) 2.3b to make it NTSC-J compatible, and to force the language as english.
4) Burn the ISO with Nero and play!

Thanks for the wonderful patch JinVa!

Going to try this right now - the only difference is my wii is Jap 3.2J (latest update using SSBB NTSC-J) and Wiikey1.9g

Will write again with results in an hour or 2

So it works like a champ for me ... however, I did NOT try installing the Mario Kart Channel - though the game works swimmingly and I CAN connect and play online via Nintendo WFC.

Many thanks!!

how did you manage to use wiifrii? i'm getting this error when i try to convert from PAL to NTSC-U

Select option: e

[ Patching from PAL to NTSC-U... ]

@@ Reading "main.dol" from partition 1...
ERROR: Couldn't read "main.dol"! (missing "common-key"?)

[ ISO patching failed! ]

@@ Press any key to continue...

I used the wiiscrubber to extract the file but still gives me that error. Can someone give me some tips on how to get this working?

Thanks,

UPDATE: never mind.. just needed the key.bin to be in the same directory as the exe.

UPDATE 2: just finished burning and it works! thanks guys for all your hard work!
3.1U wiikey 1.9s
