Hacking Remaining Blocks

How many blocks does a factory fresh Wii have? I only have 800 left with 0 games installed, only HBC, Nintendo Channel and internet channel.

I have quite a lot of saves is it feasible that they are eating all my available memory, i have also noticed that if i install any VC or Wiiware that when i get less than 500 blocks remaining my screen looks like it tears on the system menus as if it is having trouble refreshing behind the hand icon, can this be a real problem?

Mine has Internet, 4 VCs, HBC installed, as well as about 40 saves (some large, 100+ blocks). And i have over 1000 blocks free...

EDIT: Det1re beat me to it. That's about right. Mine had about 2k blocks when new...

I had about 15 VC games installed and I installed 4 more (in the 100 block range), it said that I had 0 blocks remaining and I needed to delete some.

I deleted all but 4, and it still says 0 blocks remaining. What I can I do to fix this? If I end up having to do a reformat, is there any way to save my game saves like, Mario Kart, SSBB, etc?
