That's how it goes sometimes when you order from DX. You will get your package...eventually.

That is why most people here will suggest you order from some place more local if you are in a hurry. I have gotten my orders from them in two weeks, or a month or two.

I ordered my M3i0 from them and i got it in less than a weeks but they ca take up to a month. They are very reliable tho and u will get what u ordered. i guess slow shipping is fair as there prices are extremely low.

hope u get it soon.

I ordered an Acekard 2i from DealExtreme… It was really cheap, but it took forever to arrive. I got it about three and a half weeks after I ordered it.

chinese new year is close, and it can easily take more than a month during that time, but dx is very reliable and will solve any conflicts w/o hassle. couple weeks ago i ordered two random items, only one of them arrived about a week later, i contacted dx with some pix of what was sent, and they sent me the missing item free of charge, you really cant beat their prices and customer service but since they are in china, shipping till take a while, but its always free...if you want items faster but more expensive, order from newegg.com for sd cards, and realhotstuff.com for flashcarts

yeah I ordered an acekard 2i also
and a 4gb micro sd
a led lightsaber keychain
and a little puzzle box that can hold money and such
but I just wish it would change from waiting for supplier to shipping because everyone says that waiting for supplier takes the longest

They're usually quick to issue a refund (within a day in my experience) if you contact them through their customer service.

That could mean you waiting for an unknown period of time. I suggest checking out focalprice.com, usually when they're out of stock they say so.

I was very happy with dealextreme in the past but lately they have deceived me. Some months ago I did not receive the memory cards i ordered so now I ALWAYS pay for the tracking number just to be sure they really send it... and now last order I made took more than a month before they shipped. I have been patient but now Yesterday I canceled my order I made I was not shipped 20 days after purchase. I dont think Ill buy from them anytime soon. focalprice.com is aout the same if your interested

DX had some issues lately which made them late on any order placed after the 8th of September. A lot of people (including me) had to wait until yesterday before their order got processed. Personally I think they should have made some mention of it on their forums instead of leaving people in the dark. It's annoying to wait but at least they aren't stealing your money or anything.

Also in general any order you make there takes at least 2 weeks, if not 3. And sometimes it can happen that they put an order on "backordered" status too late and you are left without any warning but your order doesn't get processed (often the case with SD cards). I think DX should take active measures to contact the buyer if the item hasn't shipped after 2 weeks to resolve the issue, but unfortunately they don't.

These are the bad things about DX, everything else is great. You get cheap products, and don't pay shipping. If there's a problem customer service helps you resolve it, and most of the time your order arrives within a few weeks.

It's interesting how often the memory cards are much slower in arriving compared to most of their other items.
You got that right its back ordered till the 22 of October, time to wait another long week for it to ship if I don't get a shipment then I am going to be ticked, btw I ordered a 8 days ago

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end

@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
