Good news: one of the three betas I tested this morning has a working rest mode!
Bad news: it achieves this by removing debug settings, so while it works for already installed titles, its not useful as an AIO for installing and playing... yet.

we'll just have to use HEN 1.8 when we need debug mode

Latest HEN 2.0.1d beta I tested: rest mode working perfectly

I am bread

These games used to black screen/crash corrupt, or fail to boot back after rest mode.

It’s beta and I have returned my results to SiSTRo.

I won’t be sharing this binary as it’s a closed test, but he is currently cleaning the code up and prepping for a release as soon as he is free.

So far all tests from NulledPointer do nothing to improve rest mode fix above what stock 2.0 does.

The reason why there is no improvement is because noting about the rest mode code was changed.
The only reason it says 'Rest mode fixed' in v2.1.2 is because he broke it himself in v2.1.1. LOL

No.

2.0 = partially working
2.1.1 = not working
2.1.2 = partially working again

2.1.1 should be HEN 2.0 NP mod 1.1
2.1.2 should be HEN 2.0 NP mod 1.2

They are mods and not true new versions of HEN

v2.1.1 totally destroyed rest mode and you could not use it at all. If you tried to use it you would get a kernel panic every time.

in my case even the 2.0 sistr0 hen is 10 times more stable then the 1.8 hen+vr which was terrible on my setup i got KP every 3-5 time activating hen.
with 2.0 i got 1 KP in around 20 start up's
especially the new type off KP someone discribes which shut down on entering a game, never happend on another hen version before

and i would love to have working rest mode, and only use hen 2.0 when i want to install a game, which would probaly not happend until a higher firmware jailbreak arrives

That is awesome news. I have not been following things lately due to a total lack of time. Where did you get the betas? From the twitter feed? or another PS4 info site? Or more importantly, which one had a working REST mode?

EDIT: Was one of them the PSHEN 2.0 from SiSTR0?

Exactly what I was thinking. To be honest I have not installed a new game in many months. But rather me and the family are just enjoying the ones that are already installed. This would made that even more enjoyable

Wait HEN 2.0 fixes the kernal panic problem too

@Sparkss there is a lot of frantic testing this afternoon/evening, progress is being made to find a solution. The betas are from sistro, but they are not the stock 2.0 he released already.

When a solution is found it will release be released ASAP

been testing hen 2.1 for a bit and i haven't had one issue with it. Goes into rest mode and resumes everytime while also allowing games to be resumed without issue.
