I'm unable to make this program convert anything (Wii or GC) above ±1GB, as it always freezes near the end of the process (when it's still 'writing', before it's 'encrypting') and forces me to close it. The computer is running Windows 10, has 4GB of RAM and about 150GB free space on the hard drive, so I have no idea why it doesn't want to work.
Edit: oh, turns out it just says it's frozen but it's actually still working and does eventually finish the process. False alarm.
I'm using a fork, by the way:
https://github.com/timefox/TeconMoon-s-WiiVC-Injector-Mod
If the person who's developing that fork reads this (it seems to be
@gbafox), some suggestions:
- change the message that says there's no artwork in cucholix's repo to say that it could also be that the internet connection is down (happened to me and I was confused because they were all popular games like Mario Kart)
- add a note somewhere that even if the window is not responding, it's probably still busy in the background
- the way the script copies the files countless times seems really redundant, especially when they're copied to another location on the same hard disk, if possible it should just do its magic on the files in their original directory
Edit 2: wait, the success in the previous edit must have been a fluke, because now it froze again and 20 minutes later Windows presented a pop-up that "TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector Mod has stopped working", which only lets me close the program and doesn't have an option to wait. Even if I click the close button on the pop-up, the program still closes.
