Whenever I try to load the theme that is included, I always get an error quickly on and off then it freezes. I've got the latest Frameworks .NET or w/e it's called. I tried compatibility mode as well. Running windows 7 pretty sure 64bit

Any help here?

Is the import button supposed to do nothing because that's what it does

EDIT: Nvm i figured it out

it's great to finally get to use this tool.
but I'm realising how limited it is. There's room for improvement.

Ideally this tool should have;
-Colour select tool for the UI elements
-SFX editing/replacing
-choose between scrolling image, single screen image, and slideshow image

Well done so far!

if/when this works, I'm going to work on a MegaMan X (SNES version) of the game, because that's my 2nd favorite game, and if I can get IT working, I'm going with Legends of Legaia next One for all the characters (Vahn, Noa, Gala, and their Corresponding Ra-Seru)

haven't a fucking clue where to begin can someone please make a noob firendly tutorial for people who dont know hex or anything about 3dsbrew

to create a theme, go to the [FAQ] Custom Themes thread (read the whole thread, some posts may contain infos that aren't present in the first one).

I have a small guide to install custom themes for those who use gateway.

1- search and install the devmenu (I use bigbluebox's one)
2- search and install a themes pack for your 3ds' region (ex: 73 themes pack [EUR]) (if you already have a not-default theme, you don't need this)
3- install the cia version of the 3ds_homemenu_extdatatool (found here)
4- put the body_LZ.bin file in the root of the 3ds' SD card (put also bgm.bcstm if you added a music)
5- on the 3ds, activate a not-default theme
6- open 3ds_homemenu_extdatatool
7- select "Copy Extdata SaveData.dat to SD" to backup the files you are going to overwrite, just in case
8- select "Enable Theme-Cache" (if the tool says it was already enabled, no problem)
9- select "Copy Theme Cache from SD to Extdata"
10- reboot the 3ds

once in emunand, the custom theme is there. in the themes list, it still has the name and the icon of the theme you overwrote. if you change it, you have to redo the process with 3ds_homemenu_extdatatool (steps from 4 to 10).

p.s. you can delete body_LZ.bin, bgm.bcstm and SaveData.dat from the SD after you do this, they don't need to stay there, but backup SaveData.dat somewhere on the computer.

Does anyone knows how to make the BGM loop in the system menu?
