hello! I tried save manager as well as savedatafiller svtd and they work to dump the file but when i want to restore it once its edited it doesnt work, its like nothing has happened. and whn it decides to do something it says my file is corrupt and goes ahead to delete it. can someone help me? :/ i only just want my animals to love me lol

Thats a firmware/backuptool problem and not a save editor problem, start a new topic :P

From my point of few: Every emuNAND uses the save-encryption of the realNAND installed on the 3DS, if the backuptool thinks your realNAND is newer/older than it actually is (because of downgrading or patches) your file get restored in a wrong encryption and become invalid....

This is great >ww<

Was wondering if it's possible to have name/barn edit function added as well? Since I just found out from my sister that running the game in citra could auto assign a name for her D:
And I see many having the same problems as well, so getting to edit the character name would be a great plus >w< but nevermind me!

This editor is already as awesome as it could be~~~

hi, not sure if this thread is still active, but i've run into a bit of an issue with the program:(
i can extract my save file just fine and edit it in the save editor with no problems, but when i try to inject the modified save through save manager, it gives a red screen and doesn't change my save file at all? it also doesn't corrupt it either though, there's just absolutely no changes. i tried to use op's save file fixer to no avail as well.
i am pretty new to this so maybe it's my own error but i've really tried everything i could think of :(

not sure if this is relevant info but i'm US region, i access homebrew through OOT and i use the built in save manager. i'm hoping somebody could offer some advice or a solution, thanks in advance :)

Try using jk's save manager and see if that helps. Quick Google Search will get u to the page.

For Citra, the save file is located at:
Code:
US version: [path to Citra executable]\user\sdmc\Nintendo 3DS\0000000000000000\0000000000000000\title\00040000\00142100\data\00000001
EU version: [path to Citra executable]\user\sdmc\Nintendo 3DS\0000000000000000\0000000000000000\title\00040000\0015fc00\data\00000001

You can use any hex editor to change the names.

Hi, I'm trying to use the save editor on my EUR game but I can't make it work. Either I extract the save with JKSaver and the editor gives me back an error and I can't use it or I extract with SVDT and I am able to edit it, but when I import it back, when selecting the save my game force closes.
Does anyone have any ideas of what is happenning?

That's what I'm doing, using the SOSSEE version since it is for european saves, and tried from older to newer versions. The us editor just tells me my save is invalid.

Hmm do u use a plugin cheat for the game?

I wasn't using.

I don't know what happened. I started a fresh new game and it is working now with svdt. Now after I know it is working I am using a ntr and it's working correctly. Still can't use with JKsaver but that's ok.

Anyway, thanks for trying to help.

Ur welcome. Also your game might have been corrupted because of editing it. The usa editor does that too
because for some reason the offsets will change randomly.

The issue I'm having is getting the save manager to actually work with the game, it seems to hang on boot with each Save manager I've tried

Any advice (EUR version)

1. Do you have cfw?
2. If not do u have homebrew?
3. Which save manager are you using?

No CFW, been using Homebrew via Freakyhax
I tried SVDT and the Save Manager packaged with the Homebrew Starter Kit, both worked fine for Tomodachi Life, Fantasy Life, and a couple other games.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
