@Olmectron
Testing it on my linux installation, got around 850 KB/s maximum. Testing the old version with the same files got around 800 KB/s maximum.

EDIT: Some more information

Tested files between 500 MBs to 3 gigabytes.

The larger files seemed to have greater speeds than the smaller files (this seems like it would be expected to me, but I don't know networking code).
Those are some nice results. Thanks for testing!

Every file should get the same speed, except <20MB files which finish transfer before the speed increases. I noticed a big difference in speeds since I usually got around 1200 KB/s in the old version. Now I'm getting roughly 700 KB/s. I'll try some other files, then.

By the way, did you get many crashes/disconnection while transferring the files? How many of them?

I didn't get any crashes or disconnects when testing. However, the first time I punched FBI didn't register it and I had to press B and then select SD card network install again.

The router I'm on right now is fairly bad, so the speeds may not be entirely accurate.

That's good to know. I hope there aren't a lot of disconnections happening for other users. I'll try to add some fixes and add to the OP tomorrow.

That's a really good speed! Your router still rocks! Some users have told me about getting 300 KB/s maximum.

Didn't realize my router was as good as it was :P

Again, thank you for all of your hard work! If you want me to test anything else feel free to ask :)

Alright, thanks a lot. Tomorrow I'll post another version with some tweakings in the transfer code to see if we can get some speed improvement. I'd like you to test it, too.

Thanks again!

Wow. Thanks a lot for this fast update. I've been testing it just a bit. I've realized I get more stable and faster transfers when increasing the buffer size. I've configured it at 2048kb and I reach speeds of 800kb/s. A little slower than with previous versions of FBI and SocketPunch (1,2MB/s), but apparently with more stability (though I'll keep testing to confirm this).

3DS scene is getting better and better thanks to you, guys!!!

SocketPunch v1.1.0b works just fine with FBI 2.0.2 too confirmed.
It shouldn't work at full capability, as FBI 2.0.x has "ack" now, and old sockfile doesn't have that.

EDIT:

You're welcome, it's great, and I downloaded the beta to test it out. I could get 1.2-1.5MB/s with the old version, and I'll see if this is just as good. technically it should be.

Also, can we get an option to disable the sound? It's a little annoying... Thanks and keep up the great work.

EDIT2: Also there's a bug in your program that refuses to send anything because "a transfer is already in progress" while there's nothing transferring. Maybe add a "cancel it!" button that resets that?

Just finished a german translation for this. I wasn't sure about some of translations though, mainly "You punched!" because it would sound stupid if literally translated.
Other phrases are "Initial Code" (what does this refer to?), "Socket" (translated it to "Anschluss", meaning Plug or generally a connection), "I'm a five" (Huh? Well, I just translated that one literally as I have no idea what it's about) and "File Stream".

I've left "Initial Code" and "You punched" as-is for now, the others are makeshift translations. And of course, link is here

Also, exported the file from the 1.1 beta release, fyi.

Edit: Figured I might as well attach the file to the post in case dropbox link acts up.

Thanks! Yes, those were some strange phrases. I'll add It in the next update!

Thanks, @qlm2009 !

It's still a beta release, but I'll update the OP as soon as I test it enough, and then I'll add your language update, thanks!
Can you post here a base txt file for the translation of the new version? Because i can't update the desktop app directly from it....

The new beta works great for me on my Windows 10 PC but are we going to see an android update soon?
Yes. I'm still working on adding external micro SD and OTG USB support, but it's coming up nicely. So, maybe in the next few days.

No, it only say to wait that update files are being downloaded. But this writing stay there forever and nothing happens
Alright then. I'll look into that bug.

Meanwhile, here's the language file:

Oh, and sorry, I forgot. If I may ask, what were the usual speeds you got in the beta with latest FBI version? And did you get any crash or disconnection? Thanks!

Both of those are added to the log file. In "Sending info for ...", the three points are replaced by the name of the CIA file, for example, "Sending info for Mario.cia". Don't worry if the translation is larger, since this goes on the log file and as a Toast (a brief notification) only.

Alright. Yes, I think an option for disabling the sound would be good.

And I've seen that problem with the "transfer already in progress", however, I thought I disabled that transfer check for the beta? Did you get that in the beta?

Perfect. And "Send cancelled by remote", means that the sending of the file has been cancelled from the 3ds?
