I'm so happy to see this being updated, I use this as my primary socketpunch tool. The cia's send perfectly fine just as they should, and the menu is clean. I've been checking for updates on this from time to time and I was afraid that it was dead. Glad to see that it's back from the dead!

One issue I've been having lately, is when I add multiple cia files to the list, and I click punch, it will install the first cia file just fine but then it won't install the rest.
So I click punch again and FBI throws me an error (Since it's trying to install the same cia again). I ignore it then it finally gets to the new cia.
Overall, your 0.7 release will fix this by allowing me to individually delete the ones Im done with on the list.

Thanks! I'm still working on it, and I'm adding some more options soon, like deleting completed transfers automatically from the queue, or the ability to cancel the process.

I'll work on it a little bit more. There are some things I still want to do. However, I released the source code, so when I stop working on it, anyone can start adding some other amazing features!

Thanks for commenting!

Edit: And thanks for telling me about the issue. Will try to replicate it, so I can see why that happens.

You ninja'd me. I was working on this since yesterday. I wasn't releasing it so soon, though. Thanks for commenting!

Latest Android build

March 12th, 2016: SocketPunch Android v0.1 alpha, first release
  • Socket Punch for Android devices. Just install the APK.
  • You can only open and send one file at a time.
  • Requires Android 4.4 or higher.
  • Still in alpha. There could be problems if you suspend your phone or put the app in the background while transferring a CIA. The transfer would cancel and the app will crash.
  • Work in progress for adding all the functions of the desktop version. Excepting Drag & Drop.

Now, I just tested this twice, and it was on a Moto G XT1032, and as there are a lot of different Android devices, please tell me about any issue including the model of the smarthphone for fixing it. Thanks everyone.

Oh yeah!
Oh no!
What's your Android version?

I made it for 4.4 and up only because of the Document Selector, which is pretty convenient for selecting files from different sources.

If your version isn't older than 4.0, I could release something for it.

I could even if it's 2.3.2, but I don't know if there's still a lot of people using that version.

March 15th, 2016: SocketPunch Android v0.3 alpha, second release
  • Added still untested support for Android 2.3.3 and higher.
  • You can put app in background (change to another app, press home button, sleep your phone) and the transfer will go on.
  • Added app punch icon for the app menu.
Update for the Android version. Could some of you please help me with testing it on < Android 4.4 devices? It supposedly should work even on 2.3.3 and until 6.0, but I don't own any pre 4.4 device to test. If you find any issues, please post here with your Android OS version and your smartphone model. Thank you.

Will test it. BRB

Android 4.2.2. Vivo y28
EDIT1: Clicking Open CIA works. Will try sending a CIA file
EDIT2: IT WORKS. Sended 500mb CIA but very slow
The code is the same as the desktop version. I'll add the Transfer speed in the next update for checking Transfer times.

Thanks for testing It out. You said you had a 4.2 android device?

Edit: Sorry, hadn't seen you wrote your version already. Thanks again.

Okay. Thanks! I hope someone with 2.3.3 can try it out, not really sure it'll work in that version.

I'll check the code to see if performance can be improved in both desktop and mobile releases. Of course it depends a lot on router devices and WiFi chips, but software performance never hurts.

Wow. My GUI mod was already translated to Chinese since February 12th, and I just released the source code last week!

Found this image in a Chinese forum.
