*** USE AT YOUR OWN RISK ***
The FW 4.00 just released few days ago. Since the webkit exploit may be patched on 4.00 or the next firmware, I tried to find a way to bypass the update checker of PSN.
Then I found PSProxy. Unfortunately, it only support Windows. So I've made a proxy that can work on both macOS and linux (tested on Ubuntu 16.04).
Like PSProxy, PSPypass will allow you bypass the update requirement of PSN and let you stay on a lower FW.
To use this, you need to have some knowledge about how to use terminal on your OS.

Instructions:
On your computer / server:
- Download the whole project from the above link
- Edit pspypass.py with your favorite text editor
- Change region_id to your console region, and change os_version to your current FW version or below
- Run pspypass.py in terminal. To specific a port, just add the port number like pspypass.py 8888
- Delete any update file if it's downloading or already downloaded.
- Set internet connection with proxy. If you don't know how to do, then just google it.
- Test whether you can connect to the internet with proxy. It may still ask you to update your FW or can't login PSN, but it's ok.
- Restart your console
- Now you can login to PSN
- Works on macOS / linux
- Since it supports linux, you can deploy the proxy on a VPS like DigitalOcean, so you don't need to run the proxy on your computer every time.
- If you host the proxy on a public server, you can share the proxy with your friends.
- Some applications still need latest FW. Such as Spotify 2.0
- RemotePlay client on PC/Mac would ask you update your console
For more instructions, please check the README.md in the project.
