Depending on how much you want it, you can compile it yourself. Look at my previous posts on this page. Same goes for Blue Shift, as the provided build does not reflect all required changes.
Wonder how. I have both Blue Shift and Opposing Force, and I compiled the hlsdk-xash libraries for both of them. They play in Xash3D for Linux, but not on my 3DS. Is something missing?

You'll have to compile static libraries of the client and server and link them to xash3ds. You can't load them externally.

okay, ill give it a shot

the main menu is incredibly laggy, like 1 frame per minute laggy, is this normal or is something messed up?

i created the XML file, and the code goes like this:

<shortcut>
<name>Half Life - Oposing Force</name>
<description>Half-Life: Oposing Force</description>
<author>MasterFeizz</author>
<icon>/Xash3D/Xash3DS_BShift.smdh</icon>
<executable>/Xash3D/xash3d.3dsx</executable>
<arg>-game gearbox</arg>
</shortcut>

but it doesn't show up in the homebrew menu. is there something I'm doing wrong? I am unfamiliar with this sort of stuff.

Edit: I misspelled the 3dsx file. I corrected it and it shows up on the homebrew menu, but it doesn't really work. the explosions in the intro don't happen, and the helicopter sent fall. the hazard course has some missing audio and models.

Did you copy your Half-Life files to the right location? They should be in a folder called "xash3d" in the root of your SD card. I had the same problem because I accidently created the xash3d folder inside my 3ds folder first.

yeah, everything's in the right folder, otherwise i don't think the app would actually work. once i manage to get past the menus the game runs at a normal speed, but that's after spending 20 minutes in the menus trying to get the button presses to register

Hm, ok - I can't help any further then I guess, sorry :( The app started for me anyway, though and was super laggy as you described. After I moved my files everything was good.

I quit using the home button when I wasn't paying full attention, now when I run the app no sound plays whatsoever. I uninstalled the app, deleted the whole valve folder, replaced everything and reinstalled from scratch. I still get no sound whatsoever. Is there any way to fix this?

This is one of the greatest things I've seen by the way. The way the DS hardware renders it is just so cool looking!

Major edit: The sound just kinda fixed itself upon this boot. I have no explanation. Amazing work and thanks for the great port! I really love the way it runs on the 3DS

Hello MasterFeizz are you gonna update your port soon please for way faster saving & load times at least?

Any performance updates than can help eliminate the lag spikes in this game? I have a fast A2 SD card, so what gives?
You are aware that nintendo has bottlenecked the sd cards so that they mostly run at about a class6 to 8 card. The 3ds console is not capable of making use of the better run speeds of the newer sd cards.

My bad, I thought this was about the Switch port of the Xash3D/Half-Life. I didn't read the forum tags.

Hey, is there a way to transfer my PCs savegame?
I just get a unknown version as the name of the savegame on the 3DS.

You're using the Steam version of HL, right? I'm not sure if Steam HL's saves are compatible with Xash3D, let alone the build used to make Xash3DS.

Is the project still updated?

It's very much playable when there are no lag spikes, but what completely ruins it are the loading times.
