Yes, you need wifi. That's the only way to establish a connection with the 3DS. You need to ensure your hotspot is turned on (unless your device is rooted, then possibly this app will turn it on for you, from what I gather). Otherwise look at what I posted above. If you have any means of both hosting a web page, on any device, and having said device on the same network as your 3DS at the same time, then you can use it.

But there seems to be a limitation for custom Launcher.dat files, only ROP part may work, like in RegionThree. Gateway or Decode9 Launched.dat can't be renamed because of the ARM code seems to be loading later from the same file.

Thanks for the info. Is the Launcher.dat used to generate xorpad files open sourced? Perhaps I can build it with a small change to the source to use a different filename.

I know this might sound silly to most, but here is what I'd like to be able to do (my end game): I want to use Sysnand 9.2 both for savegame compatability, and so I can still play my DSiWare and VC GBA games, but I want to be able to load up emunand 4.5 (on a different SD card... I obviously won't be doing this all of the time and my main SD card will have the latest possible emunand) and use it to generate the xorpad files. The problem is that I can't remove the SD card and replace the Launcher.dat while in emunand. Just can't be done. So while I'm unsure of the results of essentially trying to run an exploit inside of an exploit, I Can't even begin to try until I know how to launch something with a diferent name.

Of course, I'll be trying on sysnand 4.2 or 4.5 first, just to be sure I can load it. Once I'm sure it works, then I can try the emunand route.

You don't need internet. You need to connect your 3DS to your Hotspot. The app should tell you the address to use, once you are connected.

When you create a hotspot on your Android, you should be able to see it in your 3DS settings when you scan for an access point.

Tried the app with JAP 6.2 and it didnt work.

Kept retrying again and again... at the end just went with the online gateway launcher by having the wifi OFF at first and switching it on midway.

Downgraded, emunand formatted, cias installed. My white japanese 3ds ALL ready

What is wrong with downgrading fw??? I did it works fine dont need this. My emunand is 9.5 I can play any of the latest games just as well as using the website exploit also can use my blue card to play ds games..not sure many understand how easy it is to downgrade.
The only drawback would be if I were to play a real cart then i would have to boot into classic mode which isnt a big deal really. i have all my connections on sysnand pointing to sites where the passwords do not work (changed them) so I will never connect to internet using sysnand. Now with emunand I do connect and play online fine.

2DS users can't downgrade.

It sure is easy to downgrade, but if one do so he will lose all his 6.0.0+ retail saves. I personnaly want to keep them

Why do even come in thread to state that something isn't useful for you? Do you spend all day going through apps on the internet that you don't use to post comment about how you don't need them? Must have have a busy life.

I can't get this to work. I'm using a Nexus 7 (2013) and always get the error 003-3499 in the 3DS browser.

hey I got a problem here .. I was using it very well with no problem, but since it updated, it's being hard to work and let my phone messy that I have to restart... different from the first time I told about needing of restarting, now it's needed everytime else I wnat my cellphone strange õ3o but the worse: hard to work to make the exploit go

The thing is, before the update I just start the server , enter the link /bookmarked/QR , the exploit worked and then the app turned off
Now it randownly send me different URL (I think it's two variations ) so if I try with the other, it don't work, using it's QR it work as well the most of times.
If I stop the server and back to the menu, try to open the app again , it says that can't create a hostspot because it's already created, then to try again just restarting .
Not sure if someone else are getting the same problem .. my cellphon is an galaxy fit , knw what are going on?

It works on local WiFi but the Nexus 7 does not have the WiFi tethering enabled so it's not going to work if you try to enable the hotspot

It can send you to the wrong URL if there was an internet connection enabled BEFORE starting the app ; the URL detection system takes the first "network adapter" it finds, and since all of the network toggles are asynchronous (that means things are not in order but are run simultaneously) we can't be sure that the found URL will be the right one (it can find the WiFi URL before it goes off).

This is not going to happen unless someone give me a Mac and an App Store licence Anyway, I don't think that the iPhone is actually capable of running such an app, it's too restricted (maybe, I dunno)

Okay, I see now. I think this issue is not related to the app since the hotspot is provided by the system and not the app. However, their documentation is quite bad and unclear, they say "unable to connect to an access point"... okay, but why ? We would need more details in order to resolve your issue

Just look for Cydia, and you won't need a mac nor a developer ID.
