it's difficult to know if one will actually be released. 3.7 is still called a beta for some reason. they may not have enough beta testers to test their cfw properly, hence the reason for the open beta.
You mean open private beta, right? /s

Anyways, as for an actual release, I guess if you don't mind waiting for soon, then go ahead and wait. :)

I mean I am just glad they released a compatible a9lh.bin this time around. :D

Hello,
I downgraded my emunand in 2.x via GW time machine i rebooting my n3ds when i follows instruction for a9lh installer i get " Your emunand is not 2.x yet " why please ?
I get the same message. I can't boot into emunand using GW mode or with the A9LH Installer option. Has anyone successfully downgraded a EUR N3DS with GW Time Machine? Is there something special I might have to do that's not in GW's guide I missed?

yes...lol.

I'm glad they released a compatible a9lh.bin as well. I didn't want to be stuck with their tools especially after all the problems the beta testers encountered such as the bricking of n3ds consoles. I'm not sure if that's still true though.

I know what you mean its another waiting game then. I wanted to go with it as well until I red the disclaimer notice arghh!!!

Can anyone let me know if it is safe from a uk N3DS and its been successful? Thanks I'm still getting itchy fingers.

Yeah it seems, they assumed most of the GW user base decided not to install A9LH and wait for their solution. Late to the party as usual, but hey better late than never.

AFAIK, neither GW nor other CFWs currently support 2.1 emunand.

Gateway guide said:
How to setup (N3DS):

  • Boot into GATEWAY 3DS menu using your favorite entrypoint
  • Pick the format emuNAND option from the menu (if you don’t have a working emuNAND setup yet)
  • Boot into GATEWAY (emuNAND) mode
  • Make sure you have WiFi configured and working correctly
  • Bring up the OSD, select GATEWAY Time Machine
  • Launch GATEWAY Time Machine, select 2.x downgrade
  • Boot back into GATEWAY 3DS menu after rebooting
  • Select A9LH Installer menu option, follow instructions on screen
  • Boot your N3DS into 2.x (if console doesn’t boot make sure ‘Nintendo 3DS’ folder has been renamed)
  • Open up web browser and surf to http://go.gateway-3ds.com/
  • Go to A9LH Installer menu option again, follow instructions on screen until congratulations message appears.
  • Reboot your console and enjoy GATEWAY A9LH on your N3DS!

I guess I did what I was supposed to do.

most likely, yes. I have an American N3DS, and I was able to install a9lh the normal way with gateway being used as a chain-loader button. no issues. I'd suggest going with 3.7.1 over 4.0 though, because ur asked if u want to load a9lh with 4.0 but not with 3.7.1, so it saves time.

AFAIK, neither GW nor other CFWs currently support 2.1 emunand.

u'll downgrade using emunand while the one-touch? setup with otp helper will fix the emunand, then clone it to sysnand.

Yes, I know... it's just that in the Plailect guide, when you downgrade your emunand to 2.1, before doing anything else, you have to "unbrick" it. (guess that's to fix that issue)

oh, yeah, lol. it does unbrick with one-touch setup. that process took me about thirty minutes due to verification and fixing the emunand on my n3ds.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I assumed GW's "A9LH Installer" was supposed to take care of it.

that's the thing an o3ds won't brick from 2.1, but a n3ds will. I read something about it not unbricking the emunand, so when it's transferred to the sysnand of a n3ds = brick. I'm not sure if that's been fixed or not.

I think I might wait for an actual proper release by GW I didn't see the notice bit about use at your own risk.

Yeah, its a beta after all. Using a current A9lh install has the ability to restore a nand on boot via Decrypt9, yet if you have a menuhax/emunand install already without a9lh, use only with a hard mod.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So you can downgrade to 2.1 using their own tool and then go on with Plailect? Anyway, I think I'll just wait for a more stable version of the TM.

I have not tried it. I used Plailect's guide first for a9lh and gw a9lh payload to boot their card.

And I'd suggest not, because 3.7.1 is still plagged by the screen init bug, which was corrected in launcher.dat 4.0beta2..

so I don't have a gateway yet but I'm getting one soon - but I put arm9loaderhax.bin (the one that gateway made) in /luma/payloads and renamed it to down_gatewait.bin and when I press down on boot I'm just getting a black screen
Shouldn't I be seeing some sort of gateway logo/menu?

The menu will only boot if the card can be activated while trying to boot it. No card = no menu :/

dont forget the launcher.dat on the root of your sd card. is it just a black screen or do you see some kind of dragon logo first?
