@hacksn5s4 Please stop bringing up CIAngel in this thread. The default timeout/buffer sizes for FreeShop are close to or identical to CIAngel's, as we have both done extensive testing to make sure by default people get the best speeds in most cases. Your internet/wifi probably sucks, and of course downloading a file through Chrome/Firefox/IE is going to be more stable than on the 3DS, we have to implement all of this stuff ourselves, browser devs have had years and many many developers to figure out the best way to handle unstable internet connections.

FWIW, if you start installing it and instantly cancel it, the icon will go away because even partial DLC installations are marked as installed.

And for me, it marks all as enabled and can be downloaded in theme shop if I want.

Not sure any way around this. Too bad, works nicely for me.

As you say, the fact of just installing it and remove it during installation actually worked. I have waited for the importation phase and I remove few seconds after it finished. Now all themes appears in Official Themes Shop as " own ".

Btw, it's been a while that I follow your work Cruel and I've never been disappointed. Keep up the good work pls !

Don't want to sound like the others in here saying they have issues downloading... but i have issues downloading.

I have tried adjusting timeout to max, and lowering the buffer, half the time i am downloading at around 700-800 KBs. but suddenly it'll tell me there is an issue and stop the download.

I have plenty of bandwidth, around 60 Mbps.

Is this an issue with my router? my 3ds has always downloaded slow from the eshop, but never failed, i always assumed it was nintendos servers being slow.

Mine sundley stops to I have tired Changing buffer and all that and it still does it randomly I have same issue I don't get download errors any where else

I no longer have the 3DS the NAND belongs to. My emunand on my current 3DS is a complete copy of that 3DS's nand - is the enctitlekeys.bin still valid? Haven't been on the eShop with it since it's impossible on a region changed console.

Anyways, I'm not an expert but have tried with another connection to actually see if the peoblem comes from your internet or free shop ? If you don't see where to get that secondary connection, I think anything could do the job like mobile data for example. Or maybe just wait for the next version of free shop..

Haven't seen the issue part and it stopping downloads but the cap does seem to be 700-800 KB/s. It's pulling directly from Nintendo's servers so the cap must be imposed by Nintendo.

It seems that it would install the update but it still shows a game update is available. I can even see the update file on extra contents. Btw this does not happen with US region game, the game updates without problem. Is there anyway to update the "other regions game" via freeshop? or do I have to update manually by downloading game update.cia through FBI?

this keeps erroing so im using cia angle instead for big games and that works cia angle has much more stable downloading maybe you could improve the downloader since cia angle works no problem

it is probably downloading the us update, try to get the update via freeShop or install the update using a cia

You can do it by freeShop as long as that game's update is in the eShop and it's decrypted key is in the encTitleKeys.bin

Settings (cog icon), update tab, then hit the button to the far left that looks like a mini QR code. That will open the camera for you to scan.

One problem this down loader has that others don't is if the kbs are under the buffer size too long this errors. Other down loaders don't have this problem. So if your kbs go down very low for a few secs the download will error which can be annoying. Id suggest the make the buffer size optional and to have a normal download mode like other down loaders. Like it should be able to handheld the download no matter how low the kbs go not every one has super fast internet mines not very shit its just a thing with the kbs going down for a few secs. Do not hate on this comment i just want the down loader to be like other ones and not have buffer size settings and just download normally like cia angle and the real eshop. Im suggesting this because if you ever get a few kbs drops during the download it will fail. I don't know about this but the only difference i see with the buffer size is that the download will fail it the kbs go under it to long which makes it useless to me idk what the buffer size does other then that.

Well the only thing i notice with buffer size is that if the kbs are lower then it for the time of the time out it retry s and if i turn the buffer size all the way down it still downloads as fast as my internet all it does to make the download go faster is to time out if the kbs go to low and if it does that to many times it errors so whats the point of it if your internets very fast and the kbs are low it will still download as fast as it can. And cia angle does not look like it has a buffer size and will download at any kbs

iam explaing more about it because i did not explain enough information on the problem before so im explaing more. so he under stands it and im suggesting some thing that will make the downloads more stable which is good don't complain on other peoples posts if you hate them just don't read it that simple i don't like your post yet im not complaing about and and just explaining why i posted this
