Looks nice. Mock-up for UI would definitely be nice, though I'm not currently considering substantial changes (i.e. adding a search bar that will also change how search results are displayed).

I'd probably wait until it's more feature-complete so it can be better determined how to fit all of the information together. I'm not making big UI changes until then myself, including the custom theming. There is also the need to consider variable-sized buttons and other elements (for multi-language text support). For that, I created a "NinePatch" parser (if you're familiar with android dev where's it's common).

EDIT: In fact, if it supports custom theming, that will probably change how we make the UI entirely. We will have to make things specifically more modular or generic. I definitely don't want to spend time making UI changes now before determining the goal.
anyway, if you need help with some UI images, let me know.

I have a suggestion, when queuing multiple downloads, it seems that you can't scroll the list. Perhaps adding a scrollable list would be good?

By the way, why are updates not more frequent? Note that I'm not telling anyone to change their organization, that's just a question, I'm fine with the current version (though the coming additions are appealing).

Because from my point of view, a low update frequency is only good for two things:
1) not annoying to have to update every single day
2) more time to test before releasing things in the wild

The first argument is a bad one in that case since the freeShop updates itself automatically.
And the second one can be a good one, but that's why there are usually two branches, a stable one and a bleeding-edge/unstable/dev one. So people who want stable stuff only can stay on stable releases and the ones who want all features at once can have them and even be useful at testing ;)

So, I've noticed some problems with freeShop.

The settings are glitching out.
Screenshots are broken.
Keyboard keys are missing.

The settings haven't been added yet, so it's normal to see it blank. The rest might be caused by a bad install.

If you relaunch freeShop, does this still happen?

I mixed up experimental changes with the stable ones in the recent commits, so will have to wait a couple days until it's less buggy now. I'll try to keep it separated in the future so I can release the minor improvements more regularly.
