Do you think it will be soon possible to edit the .kmp correctly, so that I can finaly port my favorite Mario Kart Wii race to MK7?

I am going to finish that soon. Currently I am working on creating a tool for editing ds sound. It will be able to play sequence sound almost 100% correctly, because it uses emulation of the ds sound mixer and I am porting the code the ds uses to play the sequences (sseq).

I just dumped the files of Kirby: Triple Deluxe and all of the files (except the sound) are in some .cmp format. Is this a compression that can be decompressed with the plugin, or is it not possible to decompress them yet? On a similar note, I was wondering if there has been any progress on the decompression of the models from Pokemon Rumble Blast. Here is one of those files for reference: ABAGOORA.bcres.cx.

Thanks, and keep up the great work!

You can always try, and see if you can open them. Otherwise just send me one, and I will probably be able to figure out the compression format. I will have a look at that file.

I used the LZ11 decompression, and it seems to have worked, but opening the files yields only a white screen. This could be because all of the files are in a .bch format once they are decompressed, and I have never been able to open those. My computer seems to think the .bch files are some kind of Winrar archive, but Winrar sure can't decompress them (All of the models/graphics for Yoshi's New island are in this format, too).

And darc-file format, too :/
There's a good pyton-script released but it seems that this script is incomplete (repacked file is smaller).

Possibly you should modify your png->bclim tool, too.
I got some weird bclim-files where the header is not on the start of the file but on the end of the file.
EXAMPLE (right click, save as... Uploaded a bclim file on puush)

It's normal for this formats (bclim/bflim). It starts with data, and the header is at the end of the file. At least, original .bflims from Zelda ALBW have header at the end.
ah, okay D:
Yea, but EFE creates bclim-files which looks MUCH different than the original ones, which is fuckin' weird :/

The first one is the original one.
The second one is the same image file, rebuilt with EFE
EDIT:
And of course, the rebuilt file is much smaller than the original one

Forgive my ignorance but I'm just getting to grips with the program. Loaded up the Final Fantasy IV DS rom to look at the models, seems like they're in .lz format. How do I open some of the files in the viewer? Can't double click the name to load the model, can't drag & drop into the window, pressing enter on the file does nothing. Decompression and Build functions didn't work. How do I access it?

Also, is it necessary to first follow these instructions to decompress 3dz files?

It linked here as a better alternative, but I don't see a way to get the .3dz into a format usable by EFE like cgfx.

you need to decrypt the 3ds game and extract its raw contents before you can really do anything with them

Can already confirm FFV uses its own formats, not CGFX or anything, even its textures are unusual formats, just like 4 Heroes of Light, but worse.

I remember I could open the Textures from 4Heroes of Light with a DS tool, and even view a few of the models, but FFV used archives, lots of them, that couldn't be opened, the data inside those was probably standard fare, but the archives weren't.
