What format is the best and has fastest loading times?

If you can get a .prg, they're quite fast as they're only the main program file without any wrappers. Also, if the game you want is a single load game, then a .fss, which is a frodo save sate. I have yet to add saving in properly so you'll have to grab one from a different version of frodo (pc/mac etc.)

I'm currently recoding the lower screen stuff, so the next update will be a little while off, but I will try to remember to add saving. The audio will still likely be broken, the issue is entirely on the 3DS side, the actual sound emulation is 100% perfect, I just can't play it back correctly.

Does this work better than a original C64 and is external hardware (using software) possible. I mean integrated in this program, like the KoalaPad as a keyboard option etc.

My plan is to add a couple of extras, but for the moment, there's nothing yet.
For the lag, I'm not 100% sure what can be done, but I'll look into it.

ARGH HAAA!! Finally got the ninjhax going reliably so I can try this properly. Stil a pain in the butt, still gonna bug you for a .cia version @spinal_cord .

Anyhow, runs great, I usually don't use sound with my 3ds at all but the sound that works is good.
The issue I'm posting about is this, the CTRL key doesn't seem to wanna work (breadbox 1.5) pressing it scrambles the lower screen. Not sure if it's a known bug or if it's fixable or not but I thought I'd report it anyway.

Will need to try this one out. Have you considered porting Vice to 3DS/N3DS. Emulation is far more accurate and is not limited to early c64 games (e.g recent demo's run without a problem)

It would run rather slow on a old3DS but a new one should be able to emulate it at full speed

Touch the touch screen, alternatively hit the start button to bring up the menu.
latest update crashes as soon as I press start or touch the screen to load any games. Then I need to switch the 3ds off then back on again

Last edited by AmandaRose,
Just downloaded it again this time onto my other 3ds and touch screen still crashes it definitely a problem with the new update spinal_cord but on this 3ds I can use the start button to get my games but can't play anything requiring the keyboard
