Wait, I should mention something
@arc13 when testing sleep mode, after adding a game to sleep and trying to return to the homescreen, my system locked up. After resetting the system, it showed the game ready to download.
Now back to you, that's what happened to me.

What was the game ?
Did you wait the message "Ready for sleep download..." and then returned to the home menu ?

@arc13 can I continue supplying the Hungarian translation for freeShop?

Hmm... my download isn't progressing, what gives? Do I just minimize freeshop or close it while I sleep mode download? I have it closed and it's not downloading.

After the message that says "Ready for sleep download...", you need to close freeShop and close the lid of your console. Make sure your console is on the 11.4 version also.

Ended up with the message twice and it was Super Mario Maker. I will test again with the same game and report back
edit: Looks like it was just me not waiting long enough. I waited a few seconds this time and it didn't crash.
So don't start a sleep download, then try to go to the homescreen. That will cause the system to crash. You have to wait until it tells you that it's cool

I appreciate the work you did to implement this dude but the sleep mode download thingie seems to be pretty unstable atm. I'm downloading sun moon through sleep download but it rarely progresses. What I mean by that is, it will download 5% of the file but then will stop any progress and will stay like that till the user decides to just use regular download. Good job though this mustve been pretty hard to do.

Yes, I know this issue, but don't know how to disable the access to the home menu while the sleep download is processed.

Best I can give is a public warning so people know it's an issue
But resetting the system does result in the game being ready to download when they turn on the system. So there is an upside to it.

Okay, I think I figured out why my downloads won't progress while in sleep mode.

Whenever I install a game, there's a high chance that an annoying error will occur. Now, I don't if this is just specifically affecting me or not, but most of the time, when I download a file off of freeshop, the download status goes from:

queu > then to retrying > to retrying 1 > to retrying 2 > 3 > 4 > 5 > 6 > 7

Basically, it appears to be an infinite (probably) retrying loop.

I tried reinstalling freeshop, deleting all it's data files and folder followed by a fresh install etc, but the error just won't go away.

Is there anyone here who knows how to fix this?

Launch the eShop to see if it fix your problem, and tikSweep also.

so the cache is definitely not updating, even though we're getting new revisions (latest being r55 that just came out a day or 2 ago) - it's not picking up at least 2 games

Sleep mode download only downloads firmware 11.4 for me. I cancel the update and delete the pending titles with fbi, but after 15 minutes the update is back.
I have 2 questions:
- How can I prevent the update from downloading? (having boot9strap with luma3ds)
- Does sleep mode downloading only work while on latest firmware? (I am on 11.2 and thought it was bad to go to 11.3 or even 11.4)

It should be safe to update to 11.4. You won't lose anything if you have sighax installed (which your sig indicates you have).

Thanks OP for the job put in this fork with the useful features!!! But with the update 3.1, everytime i start the app says "Unable to start NIMS" in result i can't download in sleep mode. My O3DS is in 11.4.0-37U with Boot9Strap and i followed the 3ds.guide . If anyone can help me with this problem I'll Appreciate it.

Have you got the enctitlekeys.bin in the right folder?

Yes, i have it in the right folder. In fact, i see the game list. The only thing that dosen't work is the sleep mode.
