Nope. Click on the cia and it's a download link for the cia. The only "pirate" things is that you can use amibac to download amiibo dumps from the internet and put it on your amiibo.

EDIT: Building .cias means making a .cia containing this app.

Oh ok. From my experience, Smash amiibos seem to "forget" their training, if not used for a long time. So, I don't know how useful this app can be for that. But, maybe it could be useful for other amiibos.

If I'm not completely mistaken, I believe you can initialize the Amiibo by changing its owner/nickname.

You can't change the character. That's read-only hardcoded data. This app copies the savedata from the first Amiibo to the second one.
