Oh yeah. Just yank the power. It's Linux not windows. It will boot up fine
Not entirely true, esp with the pi/s. Sd card corruption is an issue esp when not shutting down properly. Yeah you can get away with just pulling the power but it's not the best thing to do. Sd card corruption can and will happen at some point, probably when you don't have a recent backup of the card. lol Yeah i know this all too well. :(

Are you sure you copied everything to the /var/www/html folder from the www folder?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

You should have an index.html file in the "html" folder on your Pi. Make sure its the index.html file from the aio package. Also if you did this manually make sure you install php on your pi.

ill double check everything and try again it did give me an error when i installed php it said it installed sucessfully but that some files werent found

You need to run sudo apt-get update before trying to install php

Yeah. I'm just lazy. I never press eject when pulling a USB drive either. Never had any corruption in 18 years lol

Ah I did the update after telling it to install php

Having painstakingly got my wifi dongal to host a hotspot for my Pi, when I launch the exploits I get freezes T.T

Ah yeah neither do i lol sd card corruption with the pi's is another beast though haha will happen when you least expect it. Had it happen a fair few times :( Quite annoying tbh...

Wire one of the gpio pins to a button that executes a shutdown script. I've done this in the past.

Just thought I will update you all, I have 2 Wii U's one is 5.3.2 and the other is 5.5.1. I just created my self-host on the Pi but instead of using a wired connection I have a USB dongle which creates a hotspot for the Wii U to connect to.

Using the Exploit from the AIO thread, both Wii U Freezes on the launch of the exploit.

I then used the exploits packaged with the HBL download and it works for 5.3.2 but not 5.5.1 (If the 5.5.1 exploits are hosted on my PC it works fine, just on the Pi it don't work.)

Will now try the static exploits and see what happens, but so far, only working with 5.3.2 and no luck with 5.5.1. Which seems strange as when hosted on my PC which is also wireless, so in theory it should work?

What method are you talking about?

Running the option 3 method? The one where its the green illuminatti screen?

Running the option to launch loadiine nightlys.

I dont see the illuminatti screen, it just tried to launch the MP4 player and freeze and sometimes it freezes on a white screen the one where the Wii u logo usually shows, but never showing it.

Running the option to launch loadiine nightlys

On my 5.5.1 that works maybe 1% of the time even when hosting over the network. I ALWAYS have to run the 3rd option first, then the 2nd. Does running the 3rd option first then the loadline second on the pi fix your issue?

i have not tried this, i will try it now =)

Woohoo! You are right, works when running option 3 first then option 2. Hmm, i wonder why it wont work with loading straight into loadiine.

Going to have another go with the HBL ones as they auto detect the version and launches loadiine straight away. I was trying to avoid having to select oo many things so my kids can use it without me around.

Yeah. Its an issue with ANY sort of self hosting solution at this point. For right now, for a 95% success rate, do the 3rd first then the 2nd :)

Opps, sorry ignore what I just wrote, totally confusing myself here!

I think you are right, this is the only way to get it working I think, thanks for your help =)

I have been looking for a reliable self launching loadiine for some time now. I don't know why HBL works perfectly but not loadiine when they are both developed by @dimok . You can always just go into HBL and launch loadiine from there.

Yeah its GOT to be something. Wonder if there is a way to inject the option 3 launcher before launching option 2. Like it automatically does it in order or something.

The fastest way I've found to load loadiine is to trick the Wii U to open HBL every time I click browser. Then I just launch loadiine from HBL.

@Kafluke, I ordered a Raspberry Pi and Wii U compatible Lan adapter. I have already prepped the mSD and written the AIO img. Once I get my RPi, is it correct that all I should have to do is insert the mSD and complete the rest of your tutorial? Output to the TV from the RPi is not required, right? As soon as I saw your post I decided I wanted to try it. Thanks again.

That's correct. No need to see the pi display
