Yeah, same I don't have either of them lol. I'm not sure if its possible to update to that version without the card atm.

so heres what i did i need help "(

Step 1: installed gateway
Step 2: launched exploit and backed up 4.5 sysnand with gateway.
Step 3: extracted NAND.bin to pc and the formatted emunand with gateway
Step 4: i used HEX Workshop found my SD drive the gateway dummy
Step 5: clicked restore sector with my 4.5 NAND.bin to sector 1
Step 6: put Rop_multiloader on acekard and the 3DS_cfw.zip i extracted and add only 3DS_Stuff folder to my SD for 3ds and the other files to a folder on desktop
Step 7: I installed ROP_Multiloader : Homebrew 4.x
Step 8: started RUN.bin already edited my 3ds IP address and started profile exploit held down L trigger
Step 9: i got booted back into regular 3ds menu with error say it needed to restart and the RUN.bat said failed to connect

did i do anything right or am i missing something ?

Your 3DS and PC must be in the same network. Make sure you created a valid internet connection after boot!

You deserve it for updating a perfectly good 4.5 3DS without at least making a nand backup first. If you were planning to update, you should instead have bought a console with a higher firmware it, rather than ruining an exploit-compatible 3DS

You might have to run it a few times and make sure your 3ds is connected to your router. Also double check you entered the correct 3ds IP with this tool

Now how to get them .3ds files to .cia file ...

Maybe 3dsexplorer to extract the .cxi files , then makerom - http://3dbrew.org/wiki/Makerom

to get them into a .cia file some how, But issue is makerom is a 0 bite file and vanished 4 good ,

I'm no good with compiling of the source code .

But yet might be totally wrong and on wrong track .

EDIT: in HxD .3ds and .CIA files are very much the same in data when Lined up at game ID address, seams that they is a ROOT injection added into the header .

i got a teal blue sceen on top and black screen on bottom and then it freeze so i have to force restart am i doing this correctly?

Assuming you did the other steps properly, yes. Booting it is unstable, so can take a few tries.

This happens when you try to load the launcher with the gateway exploit, that doesnt work. You need to use a different rop loader.
