Don't be unhappy. Now you have something to work with and make better. They way you said that just sounds like you wanted to only have it for yourself and be one of the people that should be hated on a scene.

I didnt want to be the only one that had it actually, its just that I was working almost all of my free time into it for the scene that makes me disapointed.

But I guess all the knowledge from it was good enough. At least with this, can start building up to something more usefull for everyone now.

It's not actually building for me
With the arm9_code.py I get source/*.s: Invalid argument, and when I tried to move the commands into a makefile I got a ton of random assembly errors.

The "right" direction is debatable.

Why do you say that? This is big news, and the 3DS scene can finally no long be stunted by only flashcards.

Your sense of "right direction" isn't the same as mine.

What should have I said instead? The wrong direction? I should have brought popcorn.

That's the kind of response I like to hear. There's a pretty good silver lining to this situation if the devs realize that the err of their secretive ways is the reason that these leaks happened in the first place.

A group of devs that don't share outside of their circle is not a scene, it's a conspiracy. Hate on me all you want for saying it, but it's the truth. So long as there's still views of "us vs them" among the devs, the 3DS "scene" is going to lack the one thing that the scenes before it all had: a sense of community.

You want to use the already compiled CFW.

The source files are something else, an early copy of st4rk's CFW. Which, incidentally, derrek confirmed as being a reverse of the compiled CFW, developed by yellows8/derrek/potentially other people.

I'm just confused as you why I'm "wrong" when I commented on this being a huge step in the right direction. Care to elaborate?
Holy ****, when did I ever said that I was accusing you of being wrong?
My point is that while this is supposedly great news for those who wanna hack their consoles, the way it was brought to the masses was not a great way of doing it, which may have repercussions in the future.

Sorry, let me reiterate. Shit happens, it was bound to happen sooner or later. As long as we don't have to rely on flashcards anymore, that to me, is a step in the right direction even if it's still limited to 4.5 for the time being...I guess that's what I was trying to say. Free soft mods are better in my opinion ^_^

Thanks, lol
I think I was confused by the "I can't post links" but there were links to the site anyways
