So I recently downloaded steelminer on my 3ds but later found many difficulties later on and deleted some of the files while others remain undeleted because they either need to be there for my 3ds to run or I just haven’t found them. I just wasn’t thinking at the time and haven’t touched homebrew since. I was just wondering if I tried to download steelminer again following all the steps of the tutorial apart from the steps I’ve already done (does that make sense). Any answer would help and I’d be completely fine if I couldn’t do anything

Once you install b9s, deleting files on your flashcard will not get rid of homebrew. You probably don't need to do anything with steelminer again.

Do you have boot.3dsx and boot.firm in the root of your SD card?

This is what my sd card looks like

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also I don’t know if this matters but I deleted the steelminer app from my 3ds

I see boot.firm, which leads me to believe you have boot9strap and Luma3DS.
Do me a favor and turn off your console. Now turn it back on while holding SELECT. Does anything appear on screen?

Well this is on a completely unrelated note but for some reason after reading the sad card with my computer my 3ds seems to not be turning on. There is a blue light but the screens are all black? I didn’t do anything while on my computer except for look at it. I probably shouldn’t be posting this on the same thread but does anybody have any answers.

All you really need is boot.3dsx from https://github.com/fincs/new-hbmenu/releases/latest . Then you can follow https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup .

It doesn't matter.

As you were told in the other thread you started, that means your 3DS was unable to read your SD card. (Specifically, it wasn't able to find boot.firm.) It could mean that your SD card wasn't inserted properly – or it could mean your SD card is starting to fail. You should probably make a backup.

for some reason I have the homebrew softwares (Gm9,Luma3DS,Rosilina menu) but not the applications (hshop etc) and when i try re try the finalising step on the 3ds hacks guide, when i click on scripts on the gm9 menu a message pops up which reads 'Scripts directory not found. (default path: 0:/gm9/scripts)' . annoyingly when i delete and copy the gm9 folder it still happens, what do i do?
