You can redeem it on the eshop web from any browser. But you won't be able to install it. But may be of use if code expires.

If you've never installed an nsp then you can use the eShop, but only if you're on the latest firmware.

You can ... but not without risiking a lot doing it on the console it self.
As for online. Redeeming is one thing ... that should work.
Downloading the install ... well that requires device connectivity.

This MIGHT work;
If you have a secondary Switch which is not modded, setup your Nintendo account download the game there.
Then disable acces to outside of your own router on both of them, so that Wifi is possible but not WAN.
You should still be able to use the Match version with Local Users option.

Yeah thanks I just needed to redeem the code before it expired. I can play the game just fine
