I've been looking for some cool/good programs/apps for my Ubuntu 10.10 OS. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance!

    Code:
    cat /dev/input/mouse0
    In the terminal. =^____^=

Okaybutreally, it depends on what you want to do. The standard tools like a web browser should already be installed.

Mostly sciencey stuff, picture editing programs, themes, and GUI "enhancers'.

For image editing, GIMP is the stardard raster image editor. For a vector editor you're looking at Inkscape.

I would like to also have a screen recording program.

Pretty much anything in the software center comes as recommended, otherwise it wouldn't be there.

I just use the default login screen. Not like I'm going to be seeing it much.
