1. It saves like a normal cart, not like savestates.
2. Not sure I understand what your asking here, but there is no way to transfer saves from retail to ROM.
3. Yes, retail carts can go online in classic mode.

You can play Pokemon X/Y in Gateway Classic Mode.
However you can't use Pokebank/Poke Transporter, only Gateway 3DS will recognise this gamecart and you can't apply Powersaves codes. Backup/Restore for Powersaves still work though.

No hundshamer I am asking If you can use the savegames that I make now using gateway for the retail game..

So you can use atleast pokemon retail card.. not sure about if your old savegames would work?

What is pokebank and poke transporter? sorry hihi haven't been around since pokemon diamond..
