Hacking Really lost in terms of which flash cart to buy

Im really lost now im not sure which flash cart to buy now first i was on deveno and i saw that they had r4 cards and r4i cards 0.0 and i was thinking hmm maybe i should get that for my nintendo ds lite but people said that r4i is fake and the original r4 sucks now i dont know which card to buy from the price of 0-20 bucks any one have any good recommendations? i was hoping to play pokemon platnium and i heard it needs to have ysmenu or something to get the save at 1mb?
