...holding the select button seems to start the ram dumping and B ends it? both screens flash/flicker white!? but it doesnt seem to end by it self or create any files on sd!.,

Just dump the framebuffer to the SD card, Nintendo almost has this in fact.

and change it to dump the vram at the address shown here

and recompile it.

the spider ram dumpers force you to press home which screws up the image o/c
i don't even know if they can access vram either. (probably can)

couple of other things, you need to comment out the 'indicators' that flash the screen when ram dumping and you need a program to convert the vram dump into a proper image format although you can view it in GIMP. this is a lot to ask and you should probably ask a dev to implement the feature.
