So i've been trying to set this up for a while, but every time I try launch CFW, after it says ''applying patch nosigchk on fs kip1 sect 0'', it suddenly just cuts to a black screen and never loads anything. It shouldn't be a sd corruption because reinx worked fine.
You use tin wildcard way?
If yes, try the normal way and report with results.

ohh, that must be the problem then! I do use mac! would doing it normally without wild card solve this?
If you have that specific problem (.files) it will. Because you explicitly say what to load.

The code with the wildcard, searches for all *.kip and *.kip1 so it also catches ".files.kip"

Check that your sd card reader is properly seated. Fatal errors 1, are disk errors on the low level.

Nothing wrong with my SD card. Used chkdsk. I am able to create folders and delete them on Windows. As I said, I was able to make a backup with version 2.3. Are there any risks with abackup made from the older 2.3 version?

"sd card reader"

You have to press where the connector is and checks its behavior. You can get a reference from crystal clear cases or disassembly photos

Could someone help me please. My rawnand.bin got corrupted after I tried moving it to the restore folder using my android phone. The sd card is formated exfat. I did a chkdsk repair on windows when I got to my pc and it said rawnand.bin is cross-linked on allocation unit 262536. Cross link resolved by copying. After that the nand backup seems like it's not corrupted but it's only 12.8gb. I can mount all the partitions with hackdiskmount but I'm unable to restore because the primary GPT as backup is bad. Is that nand backup dead or is there any way to fix it. Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't use it. You can extract separate partitions, but now you'll never know what's really corrupted.

Make a new backup and keep it somewhere before attempting to do any restorations, especially now that you know it's corrupted.

I'll learn from this experience and I'll switch to fat32. I had a month old nand backup to go back to but I lost some precious save data . I tried restoring only the new user partition on the old working nand backup but the system only shows the nintendo logo at bootup and nothing more.

You can't restore an incompatible USER partition so easily.

Imo, don't bother. Just use checkpoint, or your favorite save manager, to backup and restore your save files

You need to adhere to the folder structure.

if you have BOOT0/1 and rawnand.bin, you've put them in /backup/<eMMC S/N>/restore/
If you have only partitions and BOOT0/1 you've put them in /backup/<eMMC S/N>/restore/partitions/ and the BOOT0/1 to /backup/<eMMC S/N>/restore/

Where <eMMC S/N> is your eMMC serial number, as shows in the photos you took.

Error 4 is no file found and 5 is wrong folder (folder not found).
