If the galaxy as a whole is just a bunch of randomly scattered particals thrown out by multiple supernova's, assembled together to eventually form life, and finally evolved to where we are now, does that make us proof that the universe is trying to understand itself.

Sorry for the late response, I haven't checked this site in a while.
I suppose one may interpret things that way. I mean, if we are just as much a part of the universe as anything else that exists within it, and we have defined many concepts as a way for us to understand how the universe we are a part of operates, I can certainly see where this train of thought comes from.

...Though, I wasn't expecting to get philosophical in my own group about sharing obscure video game interests.
