Hacking Random freezing while saving in Platnum...

I've been playing Pokemon Platinum, and the game has been freezing while saving. This makes it very hard for me to make any progress, because the freeze seems to be random. Is this a normal occurrence, or is there something wrong on my end? I'm trying to find out if its kernal related by playing on OB2 right now, so I'll post back if it still happens.

EDIT: OB2 seems to be stable, so it seems like it could be an issue with the current kernal.
