I'am having the latest versions of both emulators on my wii.

And both are often freezing when using the savestate-feature. The games run fine, but when i press the HOME-button to save/load a savestate it often occures that the console freezes and i have to turn it off via the consoles power button.

I run the games and read/write the saves from an USB Toshiba HDD.

Does anyone know something about this problem?

Try running it from an SD card. I've noticed a lot of homebrew having troubles on USB HDDs. Also make sure your partition has enough space for the savestate, it's not trying to save the states to bad sectors, or the savestate isn't from an older build.

Yep... you're right. For VBA GX, FCE GX and SNES GX ( all from the same author ) it's best to set the start directory to USB (to load the games from there) and to set the save dir to SD (for storing SRAM and savestates), then everything runs fine. Thanks. :yay:
