Hacking R4YSauto

Sorry if this is asked already... but I couldn't find where it was asked.


I wanna replace YSMenu with my R4 completely... So I removed all the files of the R4 Firmware and replaced it with the YSMenu's Firmware (made by R4YSauto). But when I boot my DS it is stuck on Loading.
But it does work as normal .NDS file.

Can anyone help me with this?

P.S. R4YSauto rocks! Made my DS work like a charm.

can i use it on my r4-sdhc( the firmware used to be in r4new.com which is now closed), if so which option do i chose since it doesn't work previously when i choose it with r4 option as a firmware

Except from the YSmenu files, should i update the dstt.7z files with the new ones from the official dstt firmware? (I won't put the TTmenu.sys file, I read that it is a bad one)
Should i put all the files from the TTMENU folder? Should i add the latest infolib and savlib files (dsm0202.zip)?

I did exactly that, but with this "DSTT kernel v1.17 - fake killer disabled"

Now, could anyone tell yasu to enable soft reset on R4s please? I'm sick of the smiling microsd ...

OOOOOOO thanks i though the TTmenu.sys is the problem....but now you give me a modified TTmenu.dat. Which one of them is really the fake killer?

Or the modified ttmenu.dat doesn't call the fake-killer function from the ttmenu.sys?

IIRC .. you don't even need ttmenu.sys ?

Make a dstt.7z with that fake killer TTmenu.dat and a "TTMenu" directory with: system.fon, system.ank, ttreset.dat, system.l2u, system.u2l from http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=4476 basically make a copy of dstt.7z but from newer files.

bad rom maybe?, if you tried it in two different firmware there's something wrong then, download a new rom

Well, I've had my R4 SDHC for a month now, but I have never bothered with all the technical stuff. My R4 is very basic, so all I had on my it was the firmware that came from the site (moonshell folder, system folder and some other loose files), a folder for my games/save files, DS Organize files and R4cce, so when I heard of YSMenu (and it's great reputation) I simply had to have it. Im pretty slow when it come to things like these, but still, I tried following the instructions on the first post, but im stuck now. I managed to get the YSMenu and R4YSauto files, and did all the extracting, comppressing and renaming, but after doing all that, im not sure what to do next. To be more specific, im stuck after using r4.bat. Also, Im not extremely sure of anything yet, so I haven't deleted all the firmware that came from the R4 website. Any help would be greatly appreciated =D

P.S. I tried using r4config.bat, and the options I choosed where:
1. EN
2. R4
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. EN
6. 1
7. On

You know how on an R4 you can turn off all the cheats at once?
Well, in YSMenu, can you?
It seems strange that you have to go in an check each folder..

I've been trying to figure R4YSauto out... When I'm done running R4.bat, it just adds a bunch of files to the folder I put R4YSauto in. It doesn't create a _DS_Menu.DAT which my R4 seems to not run without.

What's going on? Am I using R4YSauto wrong?

No R4_custom_English.zip file is being created at all, it seems like that's what supposed to be made, is that true? Because I don't see anyone saying what exactly is supposed to be made and what we're supposed to do with it...


EDIT : Figured it out. The .bat prompted me to press any key, but before that it prompted me to press enter. Only enter worked. Got my zip.

i had the same problem with megaman 3 and dragon quest V but they both work perfectly now.
have you try freeing up some space on your card, and if that does not work format your card with the panasonic formatter.

R4YSAuto is not a firmware you doofus!

R4YSAuto is just a program that automatically creates YSMenu for you, it's a tool that makes it much easier to make YSMenu and it allows you to choose how you want it to be made (i.e with or without R4 firmware and on what button you want YSMenu to boot and automatically sets the language of your choice).
It is well appreciated by many people that have R4s and clonecards.

So don't speak if you are ignorant of what R4YSAuto is.

i fully understand now. Pretty awesome, cuz all cheats for MPH works!
