what is the ysmenu exactly. even the ysmenu links just contain the DSTT files

YSmenu is an alternative menu developed by Yasu, i believe.
Whereas TTmenu is the official menu developed by the official DSTT team

tried same thing gc:

formatted:

emptied contents from the website on my card into my SD
emptied contents of both of your suggested files onto card
deleted iLL.iL
renamed the .dat file to iLL.iL

Ran, it gives the same result as if i pull out my SD right out of my R4 and press play

Perhaps give us a list of what is in the root of your micro sd?

EDIT:when i said put official kernal on micro sd, i do hope you you copied everything inside the ENG folder onto the root of the micro sd....

the card's site comes with a file ENG\ which i empty it's components into the root.

the Root has:

data
dsxreaders
moonshl2
NDSMAIL
Plugins
Skin
SYSTEM

iLL.iL
TTMENU.SYS



The links you sent me contain a million .txt files that I leave, but I add these to my root:


TTMenu (folder)
TTMenu.dat



After I renamed TTMenu.dat to iLL.iL, it is gone and the old iLL is replaced

the rename was wrong on that one list, member Domain stated:

R4igold.cn needs the TTMenu.dat to be renamed to R4i.dat, not iLL.iLL
