Hacking r4i-sdhc 1.4 Question

I have a R4i-SDHC card with a v1.4 sticker. I just updated to the newest firmware (v1.67b), and I'm confused as to if I can update to the latest DSi Firmware (which is 1.4.5 I think?) with no problems. I'm kinda new at this so...Any help would be greatly appreciated C:

I use the same card, and no it doesn't. Updating will block it, though they say an update patch is in the works.
