You can buy a prepaid debt card and use it for paypal to purchase a flash card online. I remember spending 40$ on a prepaid debt card to buy a M3 REAL around 3 years ago.

received the r4i gold today! seems good... so far.. should i update it (read the readme.txt and saw that you may get error and will need an nds ou nds lite which i don't have)? how to know what version i have actually?

It must be Version C.
Other verions were released almost a year ago..

ok thx will update soon.. still playing around with it... lol do you know why the display in the upper screen does not cover the whole screen?(i.e. the aspect ratio is not the same).. is there a way to force the display to cover the whole screen?

The 3DS's aspect ratio is different, and flash carts do not run in 3DS mode so they're limited to 4:3.

DSTWO or R4IDS Gold 3DS (first one if you wanna emulate SNES or GBA, the second if you dont).
If your heavy into piracy..... then DSTWO regardless.
