Hacking R4I Firmware On R4?

ok so going on the R4I website i happen to notice theres an R4I download section and next to it theres a R4 SDHC download section so long story short is since the original R4 team doesnt update firmaware anymore could i use the R4 SDHCoff of the R4I website as my Firmware
FOR MY ORIGINAL R4 DS?
