Hacking R4i DSi XL v1.45

Hi everyone. Before anyone bashes me for getting this card...I realize now that I should have checked here first. Stupid me.

Anywho...I could not get to the site for the firmware r4idsxl.com to get the needed firmware. After some reading here I found a link to the official firmware and also discovered that this card was a clone of r4-king. (thanks to the person in the post that mentioned it...sorry I forgot the name!)

As of now I am using the r4-king firmware from their site. (on a side note...it used to be R4.dat in their files...I guess its named 'r4king' now without an extension, just rename that to R4i.DL to get their firmware working)

Soo...my question is...What other firmwares will work on this card? I use 'wood' on my older R4's for the regular DSLite's. Is there something like this for the DSi XL? or better worded...Something else that will work for this flashcard, for the DSi XL?

Well, if you really want WOOD R4, you should get the R4iGold (From Shoptemp only, make sure it says "wood compatible").
However there are much better alternatives for the DSi XL.
If you want a cheap flashcart with good compatibility, get the Acekard 2i.
If you want a $34.99 flashcart with perfect compatibility and the ability to emulate Game Boy Advance games, get the Supercard DSTWO.

Yeah. I should have gotten something else for sure. I was just fishing for firmwares that would work with the card I already have.

There might be a chance YSmenu works on it.
Can you post the file structure of the firmware?

Hm...
The only file that makes me think is TTMENU.SYS.
I'm not experienced in DSTT cards and their firmwares, but try looking up a guide to set up YSmenu.
If it works you can get RetroGameFan's patch files.

Also, I found this on RetroGameFan's thread:

R4i DSi XL - www.r4i-ndsill.com -> Rename 2 copies of TTMenu.dat to iLL.iL and R4i.TP (Use DSTT_DSTTi TTMenu or DSTT_DSTTi YSMenu folder)
