Hacking R4i 3ds save file help

Any ideas how to get my R4i gold to read my old save files? I used to have an acekard 2i and got this new card cause the acekard kept freezing, im looking to finish up the first miles edgeworth game that i got to chapter 4 on when i was playing it on my acekard, and i'm using the same micro SD card on the R4 but its just not reading the save file for some reason and is trying to get me to start a new game. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks

There should be an option somewhere in the r4i menu about which save file extension to use, I had to change it to properly read my saves from my dstwo. Perhaps if you do the same it will fix your issue.
