There's already been like 5 different readers they've sent out from what I've seen/read. Apparently this one (link) seen in the review doesn't work according to shaunj66 (link). This is the one I received (link) and it's worked perfectly since I've got it. Then there's the black/grey one just mentioned (sorry, can't find a pic of). I also think there's at least one more I've read that someone got. Not sure what to tell ya since the different ones included obviously aren't consistent enough :/

Wow...thanks! Very informative post!

I got an SD adapter with my MicroSD card and it runs fine in the SD reader built into my Lexmark Printer. Seems to be writing at decent speeds, though I'm not sure how to check exactly what speed its transferring at...

Keep updating guys, it would be helpful if we have all 5 (maybe more?) readers and reports on working/non working ones. Oh and if it's not too much hassle post up pics too. I'll post a pic of mine when it arrives (should be anytime soon!) but I don't think I'll use it until I know it's working lest I lose my MicroSD card.

Katalyst: One of the links you posted doesnt work...jus thought I'd let ya know.

Thanks!

/noted. My server's bandwidth exceeded a little bit after I made that post. Here ya go:

The one I got with the R4 seems to be pretty good, it's smoke grey with two pyramids on the top (if u have one, you'd know what I mean).

Haven't had any issues so far but it does seem a bit slower than an Elecom multicard reader. Using the SD adapter with it is a hassle so I'm happy with the R4 freebie.

Don't go so far as to house burning down. It messed up my card though. Nothing phys, although it does get hot, the chip it uses is garbage so it will crap out in the middle of transfers, ergo dead card.

my r4 microsd card reader became crooked so i put the card in and made it straight. I don't use it anymore. too fragile
