Hacking R4DS Just got it delivered!

Sigh ... it's impossible to make a card with 100% compatible DS Download Play for all games. Obviously, some of you don't even understand how the system works.

There are two solutions:

1. Flash your co-players DS (a matter of five minutes, really)
2. Go and buy the original game

Maybe sounds too harsh, but that's how it is. It's impossible. Period.

Obviously you have never heard of DS-Xtreme you mook.

It's proven that DS-X is not 100% compatible with download play, it doesn't play some game at all.

As for compatability Electroplankton jams at startup only one that i have found dosen't work so far

Holding A didn't work it's not a big problem. But there must be some variable in a config i can edit to stop the auto boot.

Electroplankton was already fixed. Its fix is in firmware varsion 1.04/1.05 which is only available in Chinese.

i have a question guys,
the card is near perfection from what i hear
except one thing i dont like

the nds rom GUI.
is it possible to make the roms show up on the moonshell menu instead?
i really like the icons of each rom..

like the GUI of supercard DS, G6 Lite

i dont like it in just plain text and in a list.

The game icons do show up in the lower screen, the only thing i can compare it to is the ds-x which is nicer because you don't have to skip past all the *.sav files to get what you want.

Cool are there any english updates? My current boot screen says it's version 1.0 english.
(I would go look for myself but I can't get on the r4ds site for some reason)

ok after 500 refreshes i have the christmas 1.02 firmware. It mentions 1.03 but theres no download link

Given the R4 uses moonshell to play mp3's and videos i would think it's very likley you can..

Kyuzumaki, just go back about 2-3 pages, somebody uploaded English ver of 1.04 onto other website.
You can downloaded it much faster than China...

I am hoping China's undersea cable going to get fixed soon...

I haven't got my R4 yet but the site says ver. 1.03 added the ability to toggle display of .NDS files only by pressing SELECT.

ALSO Clubhouse Games works fine for me, but download play doesn't work. WiFi still work though.
