Homebrew r4cce cheat code editor keeps crashing

I'm trying to add cheats for this romhack: https://guidepokemon.com/2018/09/pokemon-sacred-gold-storm-silver-action-replay-codes.html I add the cheats and it shows the progress bar filling but eventually it just hangs and crashes. How do I fix this?

When I open cheats.xml I can add the game and code but when I try to save it it crashes near the end.

I'm not really sure how this works, but when loading cheat.dat it shows this:

I want to add the instant message code,quick screen change, pokemon center animation cut, gauge bar animation cut, and HM cutscene animation cut. Just for an example I tried adding the first one. Instant message code:

I go to file> save> a blue bar on the bottom fills up, it takes awhile when there's about a quarter left and then it just shows a spinning blue circle. If I click on the program it just says not responding and then I have no choice but to close it.

How do I make a new one? is there a fresh one with cheats already on it I can download?

I assume File > New, but I haven't used the tool in a while.

For the codes you want, I doubt it, but if it continues to not work for you and works for me, I'll send the XML file to you.

I tried it again and it's still crashing. If possible can you try adding these codes for me then for storm silver? I want:

Instant Message Code

Quick Screen Change

Pokémon Center Animation Cut

Gauge Bar Animation Cut


HM Animation Cut


Rematch Trainers


for my game it's: Storm Silver – Complete: IPGE D5D82CBF


I would like all the other cheats from my original cheats.xml file intact though as well. A lot of the cheats I want work for vanilla soul silver but they just don't come up as an option for storm silver for me.

Also I think I figured out that you don't need to set buttons to activate the cheat, I guess that's just an option/for some cheats?

I was unable to get the cheats onto (the latest version of) the cheat file, but I did make this cheat file containing the cheats you requested. I also discovered that you can open two windows of r4cce, and just copy & paste sets of code between two files. So, just open the database and copy the games you want over to the one I made. It would be much more space-efficient to do so, too.

It's zipped because GBATemp dislikes XML files, apparently.

No, but like I said, the XML file you already have can have its content copied from one window of r4cce to the other.

or could I just make a backup of my old cheat.xml, move it, and then move the one you gave me over onto my acekard if I need it for that specific game?

ok I replaced the cheats.xml with the one you sent me but it's still not showing them. It shows cheats for my other games but still not storm silver. here:

Try moving all of the other cheat files over with the backup. I'm not too familiar with the Acekard software, but I'm assuming it can read the file.

What I meant was, move the cheats of the games that you have over to the file.

For example, if you have Mario Kart DS and Pokémon Black 2, you'd copy the cheats for those games from the large database over to the new file I gave to you.

Ok I think I may have figured out the issue. The game version was different lol. mine was 1.1 and the cheat version was 1.05. This may be a dumb question but is 1.05 higher than 1.1? I want to make sure I have the latest version. From what iv'e googled I think 1.1 might be an update made by someone else.

By math standards, 1.1 is more than 1.05
